How To Use

The appropriate dose of Dexibuprofen is advised by your doctor. Use the tablets precisely as directed by your doctor.

  • Take Dexibuprofen with food; ideally, at mealtime. This will prevent your stomach from negative effects including stomach discomfort and indigestion. 
  • Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.
  • Swallow the tablet as a whole, do not crush or chew the tablet.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it immediately when you realize, except when it is almost time for your next dose, in which instance, skip the missed dose and take the next dose in its scheduled time. Do not combine two doses to compensate for a missing dose.

This medicine is used to provide relief from mild to moderate pain experienced in osteoarthritis (bone and joint disease), dysmenorrhoea (painful periods) and for dental pain.

Alcohol

Dexibuprofen should not be taken with alcohol. Symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding (such as the appearance of dried and brown colored blood in the cough or stools) must be reported to a doctor as soon as possible.

Precautions

This medicine must be used with caution by patients with history of stomach ulcers and bleeding, alcoholics, mild to moderate kidney and liverdisorders, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, asthma, hypertension and Systemic lupus erythematosus (auto-immune skin disorder). Elderly and long-term therapy patients must be monitored closely.

Contraindications

  • Patients with a known hypersensitivity to Dexibuprofen or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medicines should not take it.
  • Contraindicated in people with problems such as rhinitis, urticaria or asthma.
  • Not recommended for people who have had bypass Surgery for the Coronary Artery (CABG)
  • Contraindicated in patients who have just had cardiac surgery.
  • Dexibuprofen is not indicated in individuals with peptic ulcer or other gastrointestinal bleeding problems.
