This medication is to be given in the treatment and prevention of mild to moderate dehydration associated with diarrheal disorders of multiple causes, and acute gastrointestinal disorders resulting in diarrhea and vomiting. The rice powder is used for fluid and electrolyte loss associated with acute diarrhea.
Side Effects
Patients usually don't have any side effets. Some dizziness may occur.
Warnings
Pregnant females should take their physician's advice before taking this medication.
Lactating mothers should take their physician's advice before beginning this medication.
Powder must be mixed with water immediately before use and should not be made in advance, the drink can be refrigerated for up to 24hrs, if it has to be used over the course of the day for a baby.
Contraindications
Patients with severe renal (kidney) impairment.

Can I drink this everyday?
No, only when you are suffering from diarrhea which makes you dehydrated.
If prepared early, can I consume it later?
Once prepared, it should be consumed within 12 hours.

Please store at room temperature (18-25 Celsius) or in the fridge. Please keep away from children, and excessive light and moisture. Please refer to the leaflet provided with the medicine for further storage guidance.
How does this medication work?
This medication does not stop the diarrhea but it replaces the lost fluids salts, thus treating dehydration.
Can we mix this in hot water?
It is important to note that the water should be allowed to cool before use.
