The patient taking this medicine must take a regular blood test to blood calcium and phosphate levels, especially in children, patients with kidney problems, and patients on a high dose of this medication.
This medication is not recommended for use in children under 20kg.
This medication is to be taken with a drink of water and with a meal.
Keep out of the reach of children and do not store above 25 C.

This medicine is used for the treatment of renal osteodystrophy (alteration of bone morphology in patients with chronic kidney disease), hyperparathyroidism (decreased secretion of parathyroid hormone), and hyperparathyroidism (excessive secretion of parathyroid hormone). It is also used in malabsorptive and vitamin D resistant rickets (soft bones in children) and osteomalacia (soft bones in adults).
Side Effects
The patient taking this medication may experience nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, headache, rash, and raised concentration of calcium and phosphate in plasma and urine.
