Used For:

• Treating severe acne, including nodular and cystic acne, that has not responded to other treatments

Side Effects:

Precautions:

• Pregnancy: Women of childbearing age must use two forms of contraception and undergo regular pregnancy tests due to the high risk of severe birth defects. The drug is highly teratogenic.
• Medical History: Inform your doctor if you have a history of depression, liver disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, or any other significant medical conditions.
• Vitamin A Supplements: Avoid taking additional vitamin A supplements while using Maxinoin Capsules to prevent vitamin A toxicity.

• Skin Treatments: Avoid waxing and laser skin treatments during and for several months after treatment due to the risk of scarring.
• Blood Donation: Do not donate blood during treatment and for at least one month after stopping Maxinoin, due to the risk of birth defects if the blood is transfused to a pregnant woman.
• Alcohol: Limit alcohol consumption, as it can exacerbate certain side effects.
• Sun Exposure: Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors to minimize sun exposure, as the medication increases sensitivity to UV rays.
