Product Description

Product Name: Fusac Cream 15g

Product Form: Cream

Pack Size: 15g

Manufactured By: Sante (Private) Limited

Used For:

Fusac Cream contains fusidic acid, an antibiotic used to treat bacterial skin infections. It is effective against various skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including:

  • Impetigo
  • Infected dermatitis (eczema)
  • Infected cuts, abrasions, and wounds
  • Folliculitis (infection of hair follicles)
  • Boils (furunculosis)

Fusidic acid works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping bacterial growth and infection.

Side Effects:

Fusac Cream is generally well-tolerated, but it can cause some side effects, including:

  • Mild irritation or redness at the application site
  • Itching or burning sensation
  • Rash
  • Dry skin
  • Contact dermatitis

Serious side effects are rare but can occur. If you experience severe allergic reactions such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, seek medical attention immediately.

Precautions:

Before using Fusac Cream, consider the following precautions:

  • Allergies: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies to fusidic acid or any other ingredients in the cream.
  • Medical History: Share your medical history with your healthcare provider, especially if you have a history of skin infections or other skin conditions.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Fusidic acid is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Application: Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as directed by your doctor, usually two to three times daily. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing unless directed by your doctor.
  • Avoid Contact: Avoid getting the cream in your eyes, nose, mouth, or other mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Duration of Use: Use the cream for the full prescribed length of time, even if symptoms improve before the infection is completely cleared. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, resulting in a relapse of the infection.

Always follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider and the product's packaging to ensure the best results and to minimize the risk of side effects. If you have any concerns or questions about using Fusac Cream, consult with your healthcare provider.
