Indications:
This medication is used for sedative before and during minor surgical procedures. Induction of anaesthesia. Also indicated in disturbances of sleep rhythm and all forms of insomina (inability to sleep).

Pregnancy:
Positive evidence of risk has been found. Consult your doctor for further advice before using this medicine. 

Lactation:
The effect of this medicine is undetermined in lactating females. Consult your doctor for further advice.

Contraindications:
This medication is contraindicated in Acute pulmonary insufficiency (pulmonary valve is imcompetent, Respiratory depression, sleep apnoea (sleep disorder), myasthenia Gravis (neuromuscular disease),Severe hepatic (Liver) impairment. History of alcohol and drug abuse.

Precautions: 
Chronic respiratory insufficiency, renal (kidney) hepatic (liver) or cardiac (heart) impairment. Paedriatics patients with heart impairment should use lower doses, monitor vital functions, History of alcoholor drug abuse, Myasthenia Gravis (neuromuscular disease), Eldery patients should be precautious.

Adverse effects:
Patients administered with the medication may increase confusion, hallucinations, headache, somnolence (sleepiness), dizziness, ataxia, anterograde amnesia, GI upset, hypotension (low blood pressure), rash, slight tachycardia (high blood rate), vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), dyspnoea (difficulty in breathing), thrombophlebitis (blood clots form in the legs), pain at injection site.
