Indications

This medicine is used to treat bacterial infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, and ear, nose and throat.

Side Effects

The patients administered with this medicine may experience hepatitis (liver infections), skin reactions, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (disorder of the skin and mucous membranes), bleeding time prolongation, dizziness, convulsions, teeth staining with the medicine suspension, injection site reactions (redness, pain, etc.), allergies, blood disorders, central nervous system effects, and medicine associated colitis (intestinal infection).

The side effects are not limited to those mentioned above only. Please consult your doctor for further information.

Pregnancy

There is no data regarding risk in pregnant females; however, caution is advised.  

Lactation

The effect of this medicine in nursing females is unknown. Please consult your doctor before use. 

Precautions

The patients with hepatic (liver) and renal (kidney) problems, risk of crystalluria (urine crystals), infection of the white blood cells, and risk of generalized exanthematous pustulosis (medicine associated skin reaction) should use this medicine cautiously.  The patients should also stay hydrated. The precautions are not limited to those mentioned above only. Please consult your doctor for further information.

Contraindications

The patients with allergy to penicillins and/or Co-amoxiclav and hepatic (liver) dysfunction should avoid use of this medicine.
