Used For:

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Avodart is indicated for the improvement of symptoms associated with BPH, including urinary hesitancy, weak stream, urinary urgency, and the need to urinate frequently or urgently.

Side Effects:

 Common side effects of Avodart Capsules may include:

• Decreased libido (sex drive)
• Erectile dysfunction (impotence)
• Ejaculation disorders such as decreased semen volume or ejaculation problems
• Breast enlargement or tenderness
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Skin rash

Less commonly, Avodart may cause more severe side effects such as allergic reactions (e.g., rash, itching, swelling of the face/tongue/throat), breast cancer, and high-grade prostate cancer. If you experience any severe side effects or allergic reactions, seek medical attention promptly.

Precautions:

• Women, especially pregnant or breastfeeding women, should not handle Avodart capsules due to the risk of absorption through the skin, which may harm the unborn baby. Dutasteride can cause fetal harm if a pregnant woman is exposed to it.
