Used For:

• Asthma: Avec tablets are primarily prescribed for the long-term management and prevention of asthma symptoms, including wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing. Montelukast works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, which are substances in the body that contribute to inflammation, bronchoconstriction (narrowing of the airways), and mucus production in the lungs, thereby helping to control asthma symptoms.

• Allergic Rhinitis: Additionally, Avec tablets may also be used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) in patients aged 2 years and older.
